Since 1970 the Distress Centre has been providing services free of charge to Calgarians in crisis. Our role is at the hub of crisis services in Calgary and over this time we have grown and added a number of new programs and partnerships:

2002 Disaster Response — Community Mental Health Collective
2003 SeniorConnect — in partnership with Calgary Seniors Resource Society
2004 211 — in partnership with United Way and City of Calgary
2005 35th anniversary; 211 officially launched; Teen Line Vibe launched
2006 Family Violence Info Line launched in partnership with Alberta Children's Services
2007 OUT IS OK Line launched in partnership with Calgary Outlink
