24 hour Crisis Lines
All of our crisis lines are open 24 hours, 365 days a year, including all
holidays. Lines are managed by trained volunteers with staff support, backup and supervision
available in the call centre at all times.

Issues of concern to teens and their parents. The Teen Line is answered
by youth volunteers from 5pm to 10pm every day and by adult volunteers the remaining time.

Support for men including issues of domestic violence, relationships and depression.
Seniors Line (403)264-7700
Support for seniors and their caregivers, including elder care, elder
abuse and the SeniorConnect program.

A support line for members of the LGBTQ community, their family and friends.
Peers answer the lines during select hours.

Toll free in Southern Alberta (403 area code). This suicide prevention line leaves no one wondering where to call in their time of need. Anyone feeling hopeless and having thoughts of suicide, somoene worried for the safety of someone they know, or anyone who has lost a person they care about to suicide is welcome to call.
Family Violence Info Line 310-1818
Support for witness to family violence, or family and friends of victims. Provides
information and referral for family violence resources across Southern Alberta
All Distress Centre services are free of charge to the public. Donations are gratefully accepted.
