“You are the only person I have ever told about what is going on in my life – how much it sucks, and how I just wanted to end it all. I now feel much better. Thank you.”

– Young Caller @ 2:30am

We know you have a choice in giving, so when you give to Distress Centre we would like to congratulate you for contributing and making Calgary a healthier and more resilient community.

For every $1 you donate, we create a minimum of $7.42 in value for the tens of thousands of people positively impacted by our services.

We know that times continue to be tough for thousands of Calgarians. In 2017 we responded to over 122,000 contacts.

Our contact volumes as of August 31, 2018 are at 89,197 — a 13.3% increase from the same time period in 2017. This is putting tremendous pressure on our volunteers and staff in the call centre . Your donation will go towards the recruitment and training of more volunteers.
