Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club - March 2017
The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club
continues to be a valuable community partner with Distress Centre by helping to increase the awareness and funding to the ConnecTeen Program.
This season the promotion will happen on March 12th when the Hitmen host the Edmonton Oil Kings. Two dollars from every ticket sold to the 4:00 p.m. game using the special offer code TEEN will go to the ConnecTeen Program. There will also be a Distress Centre information booth located on the concourse behind section 227. Fans can purchase tickets at CalgaryConnecTeen.com
To date, the Hitmen have helped raise over $100,000.
“The Distress Centre has been a wonderful partner and communication channel for the Hitmen as we promote the message of help for teenagers and people in our community,” said Hitmen General Manager and VP of Business Operations Mike Moore. “We are both fortunate and honoured to continue this opportunity to serve them and our youth.”
The Hitmen are strong believers in giving back to the community where they live and work. Their community caring and spirit is evident through the numerous non-profits agencies and campaigns that they are involved in throughout the year.
Being a member of the Western Hockey League (WHL), the WHL now has representation in all four Western Canadian provinces and the U.S. states of Oregon and Washington and consists of 22 member Clubs with 17 based in Canadian markets and 5 in the U.S. Pacific Northwest.
