Now with crisis text support 24/7

Calgarians are more comfortable talking about difficult subjects like suicide through text than over a phone call.

Thank you for helping expand our text services to make them available 24/7.

Because of your donations, we’ve been able to provide crisis support to over 13,000 people in distress since our expansion last October—two thirds of which came in outside the regular 8am–5pm business hours.

You can help us create even more new programs that save lives.

In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, Distress Centre Calgary would like to honour and acknowledge Moh’kinsstis, and the traditional Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. Finally, we acknowledge all Nations – Indigenous and non – who live, work and play on this land, and who honour and celebrate this territory.
